Aaron Camp gets ten years for hiding Kayla Wright’s body

NEWPORT — Aaron M. Camp, 36, is the second person sentenced for involvement in the death of 29-year-old Kayla Wright who was murdered in Troy in February  2024.  In January Mr. Camp entered a plea of guilty to charges of being an accessory after the fact of her killing and unauthorized disposal of a dead body.  At the time, Judge Rory Thibault received a plea agreement calling for sentence of between seven and ten years, that had been worked out between Mr. Camp’s lawyer and Orleans County State’s Attorney Farzana Leyva.

Before accepting the sentence called for in the agreement, Judge Thibault ordered a pre-sentence investigation.  When it was completed, Judge Thibault imposed a ….
