NEWPORT — Vermont State Police Trooper Anthony Rice said on May 27, his department got a call from a woman who said 29-year-old Adam Richardson deliberately ran over her husband with a tractor.
Trooper Rice said he, Vermont State Police Sergeant Nathan Handy, and Trooper Richard Berlandy went to Lowell to investigate. He said the man who had been run over was in the house being checked out by emergency medical workers and was bleeding from cuts on his head. Trooper Rice’s affidavit says the man’s wife said she heard her husband screaming and went outside to see Mr. Richardson standing over him with his side-by-side flipped over.
