When we reached Cheri Safford by phone Saturday, she had just posted a message on social media letting customers know what to expect from her and husband, Doug’s, self-serve business. The Saffords sell eclectic antiques, famous doughnuts, and local food from their barn-turned-shop in downtown Glover.
“This morning was about finally breaking the silence and letting people know what we intend to do going forward,” Ms. Safford said. “We decided that we’re going to pull back, start small — the doughnuts, a few cookies — and then expand.
