On May 31, a week after he pled innocent to federal criminal charges, Bill Stenger was dismissed by Michael Goldberg, the receiver for property Ariel Quiros owns. Mr. Goldberg was hired to recover as much money as possible from the EB-5 funded ventures after civil fraud charges were filed against Mr. Stenger and Mr. Quiros in April 2016.
