ISLAND POND — Governor Phil Scott and much of his administration pulled into Island Pond Tuesday morning for the eleventh in his planned tours of all of Vermont’s 14 counties.
Seated at a long table at the Essex House, he said the state government pays a great deal of attention to Chittenden County and the Montpelier area, but not as much to the more distant parts of the state. None of the members of the small crowd that gathered to welcome the party appeared terribly surprised at the information.
