At LRUEMSD Board members hear sister-school plan

At Monday’s meeting of the Lake Region Union Elementary-Middle School District Board, administrators discussed moving to a sister-schools structure to help in managing staffing and infrastructure issues.  They suggested creating three pairs of schools each of which would cover all elementary and middle-school grades.

Three area principals laid out a restructuring plan and suggested which grades would be hosted at each school.  Under the plan Irasburg Village School and Albany Community School would be paired with kindergarteners through fourth graders going to Irasburg and Albany teaching children from fifth through eighth grade.
