Michael P. Bartolomeo

 Michael P. Bartolomeo, 54, of Newport died on November 6, 2012, in Newport.

He was born on March 26, 1958, in Long Island, New York, a son of Dominick and Helen (Grossman) Bartolomeo.

Mr. Bartolomeo earned his GED and later graduated with a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the Community College of Vermont.  He was a member of American Legion Post #21.  He enjoyed working on computers, drawing, watercolors, and most of all raising his daughter Demi.

He is survived by his daughter Demi Bartolomeo and her companion, Greg Crease Jr.; by his grandchildren:  Gregory Crease III and Colin Crease; by his sisters and brothers:  William Bartolomeo of Colorado, Janice Corkins of North Carolina, Joseph Bartolomeo of North Carolina, Patty Murray of North Carolina, Diane Scalzo of Vermont, Lori Catley of North Carolina, James Bartolomeo of New York, and Peter Bartolomeo of North Carolina.

He was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Thibeault.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Ronald B. Simons

Ronald B. Simons, 46, of Coventry died suddenly on November 5, 2012, at his home.

He was born on September 11, 1966, in Sharon, Connecticut, a son of Earl and Joyce (Morey) Simons.

On May 1, 1999, he married Sarah Dunbar, who survives him.  Mr. Simons was a truck driver for Simons Logging Company.

He raised registered chickens and showed them along with his registered pigeons at various shows.  He loved his constant companion dog named Harley.  He enjoyed going to work, reading western novels, and watching television.  He especially loved his grandson and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Simons, of Coventry; by his parents, Joyce Simons of Barton and Earl Simons and his wife, Brenda, of Brownington; by his children:  Bruce Simons of Barton, Samantha Simons and her companion, Allan Bartelson Jr. of Coventry, and Carmen Simons and her companion, Justin Maloney, of Coventry; by grandson Wyatt Maloney; by his brothers:  Jay Simons and his wife, Julie, of Bolton and Lance Simons and his wife, Carolyn, of Claremont, New Hampshire.

He was predeceased by his brother Adam Simons in 1987.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 17, at 2 p.m. at the Brownington Center Church in Brownington with the Pastor Dan Prue officiating.
