Two deny felony cocaine charge

NEWPORT — Forty-year-old Jennifer L. Sanville of Troy and Matthew Prue, 46, of Sheffield, each pled innocent to a felony charge of possession of cocaine, and possession of a depressant, narcotic, or stimulant.  Although Orleans County State’s Attorney Farzana Leyva, filed a charge of selling the drug against each, Judge Rory Thibault found no probably cause.

In addition, both were charged with, and pled innocent to other offenses.  In Ms. Sanville’s case they were a felony charge of aggravated assault and criminal threatening, in Mr. Prue’s, criminal threatening.

Newport City Police Patrolman Andrew Gonyaw filed the affidavit to support the drug charges.  It named two other people, but they
