obit BeaudryRachel Ann Beaudry

Rachel Ann Beaudry, 57, of Mooresville, North Carolina, died on Monday, December 15, 2014, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, North Carolina.

She was born on March 11, 1957, in Newport, to the late Romeo Beaudry and Irene Lathe Beaudry.

She was an accounts payable analyst for Ingersoll Rand.

She is survived by her son Jonas Illingworth; her sisters: Yvette and Doreen Beaudry; her brothers: Lucien, Phillip, Leo, Nelson Beaudry and Theodore Lathe; her niece Gabrielle Loux; and by her nephews Ryan and Zach Beaudry.

She was predeceased by two nieces: Tina Fontaine and Tara Beaudry.

A memorial service was held on December 22, in Mooresville. Services will be held in Vermont at the East Albany Catholic Cemetery in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, North Carolina 28677.

Althea Rae Carr Blair, 67, of Island Pond died peacefully on December 10, 2014, at her home, after a long battle with cancer.

She was born on December 26, 1946, to Alton and Marion (Damon) Carr.

She graduated from Lyndon Institute in Lyndonville. She was a residential counselor at the Northeast Kingdom Human Services, from where she retired in 2011.

She is survived by her children: Carmen Gunn and her partner, Robert DeLaBruere, of Island Pond, Kelly Blair of St. Johnsbury, Holly Blair and her partner, Richard Cole, of St. Johnsbury, and Sarah Blair and her partner, Kyle Lowe, of Island Pond; her grandchildren: Robyn Cogle and her husband, Jason, Emma Gunn and her partner, Zack Maxwell, Corey Gunn, Zach Blair, Travis Moulton and his partner, Sierra Phillips, Sierra Moulton, Erin Brunelle, Chelsey Mitchell, Tyler Mitchell, Kolby Blair, and Adrianna Cole; her great-grandchildren: Kayde Maxwell and Triton Moulton; her siblings: Carolyn Burrlington of Palmer, Texas, John Carr of Poultney, Wayne Carr and his wife, Susan, of East Burke, Mike Carr and his wife, Linda, of West Burke, and Paul Carr and his wife, Sally, of Westmore; several nieces and nephews; and by special, longtime friends: Marya Wing of Island Pond, and Sue MacKay of St. Johnsbury.

A celebration of her life at a later date will be announced. A memorial tree planting will be held in the spring.

obit PionRaymond A. Pion

Raymond A. Pion, 87, of Lowell died on December 17, 2014, in Glover.

He was born on April 20, 1927, in Westfield, to Ovila and Olivina (Meunier) Pion.

On September 3, 1949, he married the former Gilberte Cabana, who survives him.

He was a truck driver for the former Seguin Oil Company, from where he retired after 35 years. He also worked for Kraft Foods, farmed for 20 years, and at one time was employed by the town of Lowell. He was also a logger and hauled milk.

He and his wife enjoyed their family get-togethers. He helped his wife with the family garden and she helped him with the farm work.

He held memberships with St. Ignatius Church in Lowell and the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Gibbons Council #1157 of Newport.

He is survived by his wife, Gilberte Pion, of Lowell; his children: Gerard Pion and his wife, Susan, of Lowell, Ronald Pion and his wife, Charlene, of Lowell, Denise Pothier and her husband, Andreo, of Newport Center, Robert Pion and his wife, Suzy, of Lowell, and Rejean Pion and his companion, Lorieann Lewiq; 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; his brother Roger Pion and his wife, Annette, of Florida; and by many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by three sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services were held on December 19, in Lowell. Spring interment will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery in Lowell.
