A Newport woman currently facing charges for allegedly dragging a Vermont State Trooper who tried to make a traffic stop, is also in trouble with federal authorities and facing a charge of conspiring to distribute cocaine, crack, and fentanyl.
The federal charge was filed against Angela R. Birk, 40, in U.S. District Court for Vermont in Burlington Monday.
