Jayquan Flintroy sen­tenced for fen­tanyl and firearms vi­o­la­tions

BURLING­TON — Jayquan Flintroy, 30, of Hart­ford, Con­necti­cut, who po­lice say was in­volved in the shoot­ing and wound­ing of Dante Flow­ers Sr. in No­vem­ber, 2020, was sen­tenced Fri­day by U.S. Dis­trict Court Judge Christina Reiss to serve 160 months in fed­eral prison.  Once re­leased Mr. Flintroy, who fed­eral au­thor­i­ties said was a ma­jor drug dealer in Or­leans County, will re­main un­der su­per­vi­sion for an ad­di­tional three years.

Mr. Flintroy pled guilty to con­spir­ing to dis­trib­ute fen­tanyl and us­ing a firearm in con­nec­tion with drug traf­fick­ing.  He re­ceived a 100-month sen­tence on the first count and 60-month sen­tence for the sec­ond.  Judge Reiss or­dered Mr. Flintroy to serve the two sen­tences con­sec­u­tively.

Mr. Flintroy also faces a Ver­mont charge of sec­ond-de­gree at­tempted mur­der….
