Jayquan Flintroy sentenced for fentanyl and firearms violations

BURLINGTON — Jayquan Flintroy, 30, of Hartford, Connecticut, who police say was involved in the shooting and wounding of Dante Flowers Sr. in November, 2020, was sentenced Friday by U.S. District Court Judge Christina Reiss to serve 160 months in federal prison.  Once released Mr. Flintroy, who federal authorities said was a major drug dealer in Orleans County, will remain under supervision for an additional three years.

Mr. Flintroy pled guilty to conspiring to distribute fentanyl and using a firearm in connection with drug trafficking.  He received a 100-month sentence on the first count and 60-month sentence for the second.  Judge Reiss ordered Mr. Flintroy to serve the two sentences consecutively.

Mr. Flintroy also faces a Vermont charge of second-degree attempted murder….
