EAST BURKE — Nearly 150 participants gathered at the Burke Mountain Resort Friday morning for NEK Together, a conference organized by the Northeast Kingdom Collaborative. The joy of convening in person evident throughout the day — long hugs between old colleagues, breakout sessions running over because participants were happily engaged talking, and even the meekest jokes elicited hearty laughter. In fact, that joy of being together was the main purpose of the event.
Jennifer Carlo, executive director of the NEK Collaborative, said she is delighted by the turnout of 142 registered participants.
