35 animals seized in Charleston

Nearly three dozen animals were seized earlier this month from an East Charleston farm.  They included goats, sheep, pigs, rabbits, ducks, Guinea hens and chickens.  Temporary homes have been found for them, and authorities are hoping the public can help with donations for their care.

Charleston’s animal control officer, Sarah Jenness, said she’s had concerns about the animals for some time, but the owner wouldn’t let her and Renee Falconer, head of PETS of the Kingdom, on the property.
