B. Glynn Bosley

 

B. Glynn (Archer) Bosley died on May 21, 2010, in Derby.
She was a daughter of Robert D. and Cora (Gage) Archer.
She attended East Charleston Elementary School, Charleston High School, and Lyndon Normal School.
On December 25, 1936, she married William O. Bosley and together they farmed in Holland for many years.  Mr. Bosley predeceased her on April 16, 1993.
Mrs. Bosley taught school for 32 years in Maidstone, Brighton, and Holland.  She retired in 1974 from the Holland school.  After her retirement from teaching, she drove school bus for the Holland school for a few years.
She belonged to the Retired Teachers Association, both local and state, the Plymouth Congregational Church, the Holland Ladies Aid, and she was active in the Grange for many years.
She leaves her daughter Carrie Carter and her partner, Theron Webster, of Hinesburg; two granddaughters, Christelle Plourde and her husband, Anthony, of Farmers Branch, Texas, and Coralee Keefer of Grand Isle; six great-grandchildren:  Bryhannah and Kiera Plourde of Farmers Branch, Jasmine, Madison, William, and Skylar Keefer of Grand Isle; a niece, Bonnie (Archer) McElroy, and family of Helena, Montana; and several cousins.  She was predeceased by her brother Verne and his wife, Dale, of Cody, Wyoming, and by her sister Faye.
The funeral was held on Wednesday, May 26, at the Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Anne Squire officiating. Burial at the Hillside Cemetery in East Charleston followed the service.

Linwood “Pete” Chase

Linwood “Pete” Chase, 84, died at his home in Irasburg on Friday, May 28, 2010, in the care of his son and friends.
He was born in Craftsbury, April 2, 1926, a son of the late Arthur and Lou (Chadburn) Chase.
He attended school in Craftsbury and had to take over the work of the farm as a young man when his father died.  He later entered the U.S. Army and served during World War II.
He married Rolinda “Dinny” Phillips in 1966, in Irasburg, where they made their home.
He was a truck driver for Hood Dairy for many years.  He later drove truck for Agway and then delivered truck parts in the Northeast Kingdom area until his final retirement.
Mr. Chase was a member of the American Legion Post #21 in Newport.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and used to go snowmobiling with his late wife and friends.
He leaves a son, Bradley Chase, of Irasburg; a grandson, Tanner Amyot, of Barton; two brothers-in-law, Ray Marckres of Stowe and Rod Phillips of Irasburg; and several nephews and nieces, as well as great-nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife, “Dinny,” who died July 13, 2006; by his parents; a brother, Kenneth Chase, and his wife, Mary; three sisters:  Veda Marckres and her husband, Earl, Florence Marckres, and Edith Wells and her husband, Irvine; and his sister-in-law Marlene Phillips.
A funeral service will be held at the Irasburg United Church on Thursday, June 3, at 11 a.m., with Pastor George Lawson of the Brownington Center Church officiating.  Interment will be in the Irasburg Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Davis Funeral Home in Craftsbury Common on Wednesday evening between 7 and 9 p.m.

Kenneth M. McInnis

Kenneth M. McInnis, 80, of Holland died peacefully on May 29, 2010, in Newport.
He was born September 17, 1929, in Lincoln, New Hampshire, a son of Kenneth and Kathleen (Mullaney) McInnis.
On June 15, 1968, he married Isabel Carter, who predeceased him on June 23, 2007.
Mr. McInnis was a truck driver for Desrochers Excavating.
He enjoyed his gun collection and his Oliver tractor.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his children:  Kathleen McInnis of Windsor, Michael McInnis and his wife, Joy, of Bartlett, Tennessee, Pauline Hauver-Hussey and her husband, Dennis, of Newport Center, and Albert Hauver and his wife, Viola, of Holland; by his grandchildren:  Lance and his wife, Karen, Raymond and his wife, Tonia, Christopher, Sean, Rocco, Amy, and Brandi; by his great-grandchildren:  Nathan, Brittni, Larissa, Ronnie, Jeoffrey, Hunter, and Meadow.  He is also survived by sister-in-law Wanda McInnis of Lincoln; a nephew, Joseph, and a niece, Wendy, and her husband, Gill.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 21, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Newport.

Lyman Flynn at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, at the Clark Cemetery in Morgan.
William Boudreau on Friday, June 4, at 11 a.m. at St. Theresa’s Cemetery in Orleans.
Funeral services for Virginia Altenhoff will be held on Thursday, June 3, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Barton with the Reverend Sixmund Nyabenda celebrating a Mass of Christian burial.  Interment will follow in Welcome O. Brown Cemetery in Barton.
