CRAFTSBURY COMMON — The Craftsbury Blueberry Festival at the farmers market here Saturday brought out a crowd, along with a variety of food items for sale with blueberries added in: sausages, ice cream, tamales, tarts, and of course, pies. Circus Smirkus performers entertained on the common, and the pie auction drew bidders from all over.
Daniel Solomon, a volunteer, ran the pie auction booth. Slices for the judges were cut out of each of the eight entries, then the remainder of each pie was put up for auction to benefit the Hardwick Area Food Pantry.
