DERBY—Despite what was said at last week’s Derby select board meeting, Stanstead is not turning off water to residents on the U.S. side of Beebe Plain.
Rather, the town of Stanstead, Quebec, wants to rework its current agreement with Beebe Plain homes receiving water from the town of Stanstead.
Derby Line Village Trustee Keith Beadle said the Stanstead town manager told him that “They won’t just turn the water off.”
