Police say woman was kidnapped after stealing dealer’s gun

NEWPORT — A woman told police she stole a drug dealer’s gun and was badly beaten by the owner when he tracked her down.  According to an affidavit from Vermont State Police Trooper Logan Miller, North Country Hospital, around 10 p.m. on October 13, told law enforcement about a woman in the emergency room who had been assaulted.

Trooper Miller said the woman immediately told him she had been badly beaten and what she had done.  She said she was forced into a car at gunpoint by two men and driven to a house on Maple Hill Road in Barton, the affidavit says…..
