Robert Alan Willhauck
1964 — 2026
Robert “Bobby” Alan Willhauck, son of the late Jean Elizabeth Willhauck and Robert Earl Willhauck, was born on February 6, 1964, in Boston, Massachusetts. He attended public schools in Randolph, Massachusetts, as well as a trade school in later years. He maintained his job as a truck driver in Massachusetts for over 30 years, before moving to Vermont full-time and then retiring due to an injury.
He was joined in marriage to his wife, Debra Marie Willhauck, in September of 1990 after being together since they were 18 years old. They lived in Vermont for almost 25 years and had two daughters.
Bobby was larger than life and a kind, straightforward man, always willing to drop everything and lend a hand to others. His faith in Christ was a central part of his life after becoming a Christian in 1990. Bobby absolutely loved spending his time riding his motorcycle and blaring his music whenever possible. He loved warm weather and sunshine and would never turn down chocolate.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Debra Marie Willhauck, who never left his side especially as he struggled through health issues towards the end of his life; as well as his two loving daughters: Sarah Marie Daggett and Rachel Elizabeth Willhauck. His other surviving relatives are his sisters: JoAnn Nilsen, Susan Snow, Kelly Chuilli, and his brother Scott Venuti. He also had close relationships with his son-in-law Chandler Daggett, his cousins Donna McGrath and Debi Burke, his brother-in-law Chris Nilsen, his niece Violet Scott, and his great niece Liz Scott. He is also survived by many, many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his large and loving family. Bobby was a good man, a caring father, a loving husband, and a good friend. He will be greatly missed by friends and family alike.
Losing someone is not the end of love. It is the beginning of loving them in a different way. Through memories, through silent conversations in our thoughts, and through the pieces of them that will always live within.

Nancy Coggin Goad
Nancy Coggin Goad, 87, of Newport, died peacefully on June 21, 2026.
Born on August 28, 1938, in Athens, Georgia, to Eugenia Johnston Coggin and Howard T. Coggin, Nancy lived a life defined by deep faith, a love of music, and unwavering devotion to her family. Nancy found joy in simple pleasures: a hymn played on the organ, a good book, a new craft project, a good cup of coffee, time spent in nature, and the company of those she loved.
Nancy graduated from Athens High School in 1955 before attending the University of Georgia and Tift College in Forsyth, Georgia, where she graduated magna cum laude and earned both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in education. She taught at Social Circle Elementary School for more than a decade, helping shape young minds and making a lasting impact on countless students. Nancy also had successful careers as a customer service representative at Macy’s, helped countless others in her career at Vermont Associates, and was a business owner of Hannah’s Helping Hands.
In 1991, after falling in love with Vermont’s beauty during a vacation, Nancy purchased a small cabin in Montgomery Center and made the courageous decision to start a new chapter there on her own. In 1993, she met Frank Goad, and their friendship quickly grew into a loving partnership. They were married on July 31, 2006, and spent many happy years together, dividing their time between Montgomery Center and Newport.
Music and faith were at the center of Nancy’s life. She began playing the organ for Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warner Robins, Georgia, in 1973 and later served as organist at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Newport for more than 30 years. She often said she felt closest to God through music and shared that gift with countless others throughout her life.
Nancy was an avid reader, gardener, musician, and talented crafter. Her home was filled with books, craft projects, sheet music, and treasures collected throughout a lifetime of travel, learning and creativity. Whether weaving, knitting, sewing, quilting, gardening, or learning a new skill, she was always in the middle of a project. Nancy was a lifelong learner and had read at least one book on just about any subject, no matter how obscure. She amassed encyclopedic knowledge and had an excellent memory, always ready to share a bit of wisdom or trivia with anyone she encountered. Nancy faithfully read her Bible every day and continued playing piano for residents and staff at Maple Lane Nursing Home until the final months of her life.
Above all, Nancy was devoted to her family. She was a loving mother who always put her children first, spending countless hours shuttling them to music lessons, Boy Scouts, and other activities. As “Grandmommy Nancy,” she created cherished memories with her grandchildren, sharing her love of crafts, books, and exploring the beauty of Vermont. Her grandchildren could always count on her for a project, a good story, a laugh, or an adventure occasionally finding themselves taking the “scenic route” with an unexpected detour or two.
Nancy will be remembered for her infectious laugh, loud enough to be heard across the border. She never took herself too seriously and was quick to laugh at her own mistakes. She had a special love for animals and considered her many beloved pets treasured members of the family.
Nancy is survived by her children: John Thomas Rouse IV and Georgia Rice (Dan); her stepchildren: Andrea Myrick (Dennis), Susan Flynn (Dave), and Lori Tabor (Dale); her grandchildren: Rachael Mossman, Trista Blankenship (Paul), Brooke Coveney (Michael), Audrey Lovdahl (Aaron), Virginia Rice, and Samuel Rice; her step-grandchildren: Alyssa Flynn, Mariah Flynn, Cameron Flynn, Amber Royer (Dustin), Josh Tabor, Colin Myrick (Alyssa), and Ben Myrick; her great-grandchildren: Shelby Blankenship, Lorelie Blankenship, George Lovdahl, and Mary Katherine Lovdahl; step-great-grandchildren: Caden Wells, Brayden Wells, Laylanna Hansen, Leroy Hansen, Logan Fletcher, Natalee Demers, Hunter Royer, Lillie Royer, Carson Tabor, Caiden Tabor, and Stella Myrick; and many extended family members and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Goad; her parents, Eugenia Johnston Coggin and Howard T. Coggin; and her children: Elizabeth “Beth” Robinson and Howard C. Rouse.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Newport. Service details are forthcoming.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Newport, in honor of Nancy’s lifelong faith and dedication to music ministry.
Nancy’s legacy lives on in the music she shared, the family she loved, and the countless lives she touched through her faith, kindness, and generosity.

Reynold J Galipeau
Reynold Galipeau 91, of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, died April 26, 2026, in Palm Beach, Florida. Reyn was born on March 20, 1935, in Troy, the fifth son of Homer and Yvonne Galipeau.
He attended graded school in Troy, graduating from Sacred Heart High School in Newport, where he met Gerrie when they both played in the band, Reyn, trombone and Gerrie, clarinet.
Reyn served in the Army during the Korean conflict as a telecommunicator in Germany at the Czech border. Upon discharge, he attended the University of Vermont, graduating in 1960 with a bachelor of science in finance and economics. He then joined Berkshire Life Insurance Company as a finance auditor and while there became involved with the Junior Achievement Program.
From there his career took him to GE and the Financial Management Program, working in power transformer and retiring from GE plastics division after 35 years of service. While at GE, Reyn was active in United Way and Habitat for Humanity.
Reyn loved life — travelling with Gerrie to most of Europe and cruising to many different ports; opening the cottage in Vermont, where he summered with Gerrie and family for many years, and walking the ocean in Florida where they wintered.
An avid golfer, he belonged to the Skyline Country Club, the Newport Country Club, and the Palm Beach Executive Course.
He leaves his wife, Gerrie, of 67 years; three children: Deborah (Dr. Michael) Miller of Boerne, Texas, R. James (Kate) Galipeau of Pittsfield, and Kathryn (J. Toby) Williams of Murfeesboro, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Dr. Matthew Miller (Callie), Michelle Miller, Dr. Shelby M. Pawlowski (Nolan), Joshua T. Williams, Andrew M. Williams and Alexander J. Williams, and Lauren Bernotski; and eight great-grandchildren: Samuel, Anna and Abigail Miller, Theodore, Graham and Shepherd Pawlowski, and Natalie and Stanley Bernotski.
He was predeceased by his siblings: Evelyn (Dr. Stanley) Pekala, Robert (Florence) Galipeau, Rita (John) Driscoll, and Joyce (Roger) Lamothe.
A memorial Mass was held Saturday, June 13, at St. Mark Church, celebrated by Reverend John Salatino, pastor. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery. Donations may be made in his name to St. Mark Food Pantry in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, Massachusetts 01201.
