North Country hosts Queer and Allied Youth Summit

NEWPORT — An enthusiastic crowd of high school students paraded along the Causeway Saturday on the way to the boardwalk behind the Emory Hebard State Office Building. Several wore rainbow flags around their necks like scarves. Others held banners and placards.
All cheered when passing motorists honked their horns and waved to the informal parade of students from all over the state who attended the Queer and Allied Youth Summit at North Country Union High School.
