NEWPORT — Bradleigh Stockwell was worried. The elevator at the Goodrich Memorial Library was out of service, and he was unsure whether people would climb the stairs to see his presentation of short films on April 18.
A second show was scheduled at the Jones Memorial Library three days afterward, and Mr. Stockwell very much wanted to have the world premiere of his latest work in Newport, the city where it was filmed.
