WESTMORE — About 20 people showed up at the Westmore Town Clerk’s office Monday evening to hear Game Warden Mike Scott discuss state regulations on ATVs.
Fearing an even larger audience of partisans for and against allowing the vehicles access to the town’s roads, select board members made clear in the meeting’s warning that there are no plans to change the current rules, nor has there been a request to do so.
At present the select board has not declared any of the town’s roads open to ATV traffic.
That does not mean no Westmore road is open to ATVs, said Warden Scott, who patrolled the town before being transferred to Washington County.
