NEWPORT — Vermont’s North Country Chamber of Commerce held what might be called a welcome home luncheon on April 25. The organization was largely moribund over the past few years until a group, led by chamber president Sarah Corrow, started the hard work of revival.
The organizers of the affair hoped to keep the focus on economic development, but in recent weeks an elephant has accompanied guest of honor Governor Phil into every room he enters.
