When Dolores Chamberlain approached Arcadia Press, which publishes historical books, and said she wanted to do a pictorial history of Willoughby Lake, the response was not enthusiastic. That was despite the fact that Mrs. Chamberlain was neither a novice to historical nonfiction, nor to Arcadia.
She’d done two previous books about Caledonia County and one about Northeast Kingdom railroads. “This is really my fourth book,” she said. “I got on a roll and can’t stop.”
