NEWPORT — Judge Rory Thibault, sitting in the Criminal Division of Orleans County Superior Court, ordered Mark Devoid, 39, of Morrisville to be held without bail after Mr. Devoid pled innocent to a felony charge of second-degree aggravated domestic assault by someone with a prior conviction for the offense and violation of an abuse prevention order.
Vermont State Police Trooper Jesse Nash submitted an affidavit to support the charges. In it he said a woman went to the Derby State Police barracks just before noon on May 23 and said Mr. Devoid had destroyed her house and wrecked her motorcycle.
