Tax on marijuana could raise more than $20-million

A 26 percent tax on marijuana sold in Vermont could produce more than $20-million a year, according to the draft report released by a commission appointed by Governor Phil Scott to study issues around legalization.  While the tax could be lucrative, priorities outlined in reports from commission subcommittees would quickly eat up any newfound money.
