GREENSBORO — On Saturday night, the Highland Center for the Arts in Greensboro hosted Young Tradition Vermont, a group of mostly teens with a passion for traditional music. They’re making a swing through the state, playing concerts to raise money for their upcoming trip to Scotland.

For nearly two hours, a Northeast Kingdom audience got to tap its toes and fingers to a rousing selection of Scottish, Irish, Quebecois, and Cape Breton tunes, accompanied vigorously on harp, fiddle, guitar, and mandolin.

A couple of months from now, the young musicians will be performing the same music on stages around Scotland.
