WESTMORE — Every community has its own challenges and needs. For those who live near Lake Willoughby, those challenges have a lot to do with the culture of outdoor recreation. The Vermont Council on Rural Development (VCRD), through its community visit program, has been working over the past couple of months to help Westmore resident organize to meet those challenges. On August 28, the citizens involved with Westmore’s Path Forward project met with experts for an evening of heavy brainstorming.
Mr. Heuslein said that on one popular weekend when the area was seeing heavy traffic there were few locals. His curiosity led him to count tags.
“There were 280 cars and only six had Vermont plates,” Mr. Heuslein said…..
