Protecting the elderly, the young, and the ill is the primary concern as closures and cancellations sweep the region in an attempt to slow the spread of COVID-19. Deep concern for workers and small businesses in the new, uncertain economy has emerged.
“Social distancing,” a term unheard of last Wednesday, is now a primary threat to local businesses.
To say the least, much has changed in a week. Schools and businesses have closed, meetings have gone online, funerals have been postponed. We all know what’s happening to toilet paper.
