Two more men charged in rare coin theft

NEWPORT — Two more men have been charged in connection with the theft of a trove of rare coins from a Derby home. On May 4 James D. Beauvais, 49, of Charleston appeared in the Criminal Division of Orleans County Superior Court to plead innocent to felony charges of possession of stolen property, conspiracy to conceal stolen property, and conspiracy to sell stolen property and on Friday, Dustin Sheltra, 27, of Holland pled innocent to a single charge of possession of stolen property.

Vermont State Police Trooper Richard Berlandy, in his affidavit, said police got a call on April 18 from a man in Derby who said his house had been broken into and a safe stolen.
