Police charge three in Kayla Wright murder

NEWPORT — The man police say shot and killed Kayla Wright, a 29-year-old Derby woman, last February is scheduled to be arraigned on a charge of first-degree murder on July 30.  Two other men have already pled innocent to charges of helping to dispose of Ms. Wright’s body by placing it in a toolbox and throwing into the Missisquoi River.

Jakiy Tramaine Corey Keith, 24, of Hartford, Connecticut, is currently being held on federal charges of conspiracy to possess controlled substances including crack cocaine with the intent to distribute them.  That has held up his arraignment on the murder charge…
