NEWPORT — Unexpectedly, lawyers for Ryan P. Bacon, 32, of Point Pleasant, New Jersey, and Orleans County State’s Attorney Jennifer Barrett announced an agreement Tuesday to resolve charges that arose from the shooting death of Lou-Ron Schneider, 68, of Greensboro. The plea agreement came after what was expected to be a pre-trial hearing before Mr. Bacon’s trial in mid-June.
