NEWPORT — A ceremony held here Saturday morning thanked those who have devoted themselves to protecting freedom and democracy. Speakers both thanked service members and noted ways those not in the military can show gratitude for the dedication of active and retired armed service personnel.
At the start of the ceremony, members of the North Country Union High School’s Junior ROTC presented the colors before going to stand at full attention for the duration of the proceedings….
