Morgan man denies domestic assault charges

NEWPORT — Seventy-seven-year-old William Loomis of Morgan entered a plea of innocent to a felony charge of first-degree aggravated domestic assault and interfering with access to emergency services.  Judge Lisa Warren, sitting in the Criminal Division of Orleans County Superior Court, ordered him released on conditions.

Vermont State Police Trooper Logan Miller’s affidavit says a woman called police around 10:30 p.m. on August 19 and said Mr. Loomis had strangled her and was trying to get into the bedroom where she was hiding…
