Giant trucks are monstrously entertaining

BARTON — Adding to the high-octane attractions the Orleans County Fair regularly hosts, jacked-up monster trucks took to the air on Wednesday and Thursday evening. Daredevil drivers from near and far tested their rigs against one another, putting on full display the raw power of the giant vehicles.
Before the shows began, the massive trucks were parked at the end of the grandstand and spectators were welcomed to see the goliaths up close. On wheels four feet in diameter or more, the massive machines towered over anyone standing nearby, especially the children. Little kids craned their heads back as they marveled at the enormous engines. Everything about the vehicles was big, heavy, and tough, designed to carry such a magnificent mass over any terrain. ..
