Mental health program introduced

DERBY — On December 5 a group of local leaders met with the directors of a project they say will help those in the midst of a mental health crisis.  Representatives from law enforcement agencies and mental health specialists talked to local representatives about what they call the Front Porch Program.  They discussed concerns and asked questions about how the program would function within the community.

The goal of the project, which is being spearheaded by Northeast Kingdom Human Services (NKHS), is to provide a space for those in need of drastic help with stress, anxiety, and depression….
