NEWPORT — If Vermont Game Warden Jacob Johnson’s affidavit is correct, Benjamin Pucci, 18, of Derby, made a major mistake in taking a friend with him on a hunting expedition.
Warden Johnson said a person who was not named in the affidavit, called the State Police on November 19, 2022, to report a deer poaching incident. He said he spoke to the caller and a woman who said she was with Mr. Pucci and a friend that night….
