Near the end of Monday’s Lake Region Union High School Board meeting Principal Andre Messier began preparing the school board for the probability that Lake Region will soon be going to remote learning. Because people are no longer supposed to be mixing households, a number of students have had to quarantine following recent exposures at deer camp to those outside their own families.
But a bigger factor, Mr. Messier said, is that he simply won’t have the staff keep school open following Thanksgiving.
