IRASBURG — About 20 interested people gathered at Jeff Hutchins’ asphalt plant at 9:30 last Thursday morning, October 8. They were there to see, hear, and smell the operating plant, the subject of an Act 250 permit hearing scheduled for next month.
The three members of the District Seven Environmental Commission, along with District Coordinator Kirsten Sultan, arrived early, only to find the plant, which had been operating earlier that day, was shut down.
