DERBY — There once was a dog named Chuck who had some miserable luck. He wandered away, and to his dismay, on his head a bucket was stuck.
Well, it wasn’t a bucket. It was actually the top of an automatic food dispenser. Many people may have seen on social media the story of a dog who has eluded authorities for over a week in a rather sad state. The compassion of volunteers was put on display as numerous rescue attempts were made, as dog lovers banded together to help a canine in need.
In the end it was a trap, not searchers or drones, that got Chuck out of the fix he was in.
