HOLLAND — Laurent Letourneau’s 219-acre farm here is as manicured as a golf green. He told a visitor Monday that he mows his hay fields but his daughter runs the baler.
“When she sees a stone like this,” he said picking up a rock about half the size of a baseball, “she stops the tractor and picks it up. There are no stones in my fields.”
Given the care he takes in maintaining the land he has farmed for the past 57 years, it’s no surprise that Mr. Letourneau was outraged when a person, or people, dumped an old tower computer, a printer and monitor, and a couple of large televisions on one of his fields on the night of October 10.
