BARTON — New board member Doug Swanson and a small crowd of citizens had to wait for an hour to get into Barton’s municipal office building last week for the regularly scheduled select board meeting. Board Chair Robert Croteau showed up at exactly eight — the meeting was scheduled to start at 7 p.m. — with the key to the building and code for the alarm system.
