We spent the first evening of February vacation hanging out in the breakdown lane of I84 with the New York State Police.
We left Vermont mid-day Wednesday, February 21, when it was 65 degrees in Glover, 83 by the time we got to Greenfield, Massachusetts. We were on our way to Chincoteague Island off the coast of Virginia to see the wild ponies and spend a few days in a warmer place, though Vermont itself was a pretty warm place that day.
We made good time until we got to Connecticut.
