NEWPORT –  Those drawn to writing find it is an act that can result in both creative and informative works, artistic and professional in application.  The study of the written word can seem just as curious.  Studious readers who look over the works of scribes who have produced great volumes and analyze the myriad aspects within, often dream of putting a story of their own to the page.  One such dreamer, Isaac McDonald, has been honing his craft in anticipation of one day becoming a novelist.

A senior at North Country Union High School, Isaac is looking forward to a great opportunity following graduation.  After discovering his love for reading, Isaac started to write and found that he enjoyed the process of crafting his own narratives.  When looking at what to do following high school, Isaac pursued a scholarship through the QuestBridge Program. …
