NEWPORT — Eric Petit is an artist who specializes in using natural materials. In creating his works he walks through the woods around his home to find wood, stones, and fungi to use in his art. Sometimes he’ll walk past a branch and ponder for a couple weeks about what it could be in terms of an art piece.
