NEWPORT — A visitor dropping in at Madam Archetype’s Panoply Tuesday might have been forgiven for thinking it was moving day at an establishment that has for four years offered a wildly eclectic collection of heavily discounted brand-name clothing, along with housewares, shoes, and toys.
Moving day is coming soon, but the many overflowing cartons of merchandise that clogged its aisles show why Madam Archetype needs a larger home.
Fortunately for Sherry, Keegan, and Trevor Gehrmann, the family that started and runs the store, the journey to a bigger space will only take them a block down Main Street.
