ISLAND POND — On April 23, right in time for spring cleaning, Brighton began the process of refreshing its town plan for the next eight years. Around 30 community members and a generous array of sandwiches convened at the Town Hall gymnasium — kicking off the first of a three-meeting series to foster public input and discussion, break down elements of the town plan, and explain its key role in the town’s future. With a mix of positive news, such as NEK Broadband coming to Brighton by the end of 2025, and roadblocks like a hundred-year-old stormwater drain, it was an informative gathering.
