IRASBURG — At its meeting on August 6, the select board here got to the bottom of a dispute over parking along the town hall property line. After getting input from the former owner of Ray’s Market, the building next door to town the hall, and looking over a survey with its current owner, board members conceded they will have to work around circumstances as they are.
The store that neighbors the town hall has seen regular traffic coming and going for many years. There are also apartments above the store, managed by its owner, Leo Piette. Between tenants and the customers, people are always parking around the storefront. There is a small alley between the town hall and the market where some local residents and shoppers park.
