DERBY LINE — As it does every year, Derby held its floor meeting Monday evening. Voters went to the polls on Town Meeting Day, March 3. Around 100 citizens attended Monday’s meeting at the Derby Elementary School in Derby Line and conducted their business in the span of about an hour and a half.
People enjoyed a potluck supper and chatted while waiting for the start of the meeting. It was the second year that a community dinner was organized by Allyson Howell, made by their neighbors as they waited for the meeting to begin.
First-time Moderator Doug Spates opened the meeting at 6 p.m., thanked people for coming out and dove right into the warned articles.
Mr. Spates noted items to be decided by Australian ballot the following day. Those running on the ballot were all unopposed. The ballot also asked voters to decide on a proposed budget of ….
