Governor lays out reopening plan

Governor Phil Scott used Tuesday’s briefing to lay out a plan that, he said, can lead to a full reopening of Vermont businesses and events over the next 90 days.

What the Governor is calling the Vermont Forward Plan includes target dates for a gradual return to something closer to normal based on expected vaccination rates across the state.

On Friday outdoor businesses, including those involved with recreation and fitness, professional services that involve little or no contact, farmers markets, retail operation and lodgings, including campgrounds, will have capacity restrictions lifted.  In their place will be what the state is calling universal guidance.
