Falcons capture the barrel

LYNDON CENTER— “I’ve been waiting seven years for this,” said North Country Union High School Football Coach Lonnie Wade as he held the small wooden barrel that signifies victory in the annual Falcons versus Lyndon Institute game.

Coach Wade held the trophy for only a few moments before handing it back to the players who delivered a convincing 42 — 18 victory on a hot Saturday afternoon.

Four Falcons reached the end zone in the first three quarters, two of them did so twice.
